The Kosovo Malaysia Chamber of Commerce (Oda Ekonomike Kosovo Malaysia-OEKM) works to create and sustain an environment conducive to the growth of industry and trade in Balkan and Asia, partnering both of them through advisory processes.

Founded in 2014, by pioneers of industrial Mr. Perparim Kryeziu , the Chamber has an illustrious list of doyens of trade and industry passing the torch of enlightened leadership to the next in a smooth seamless passage.

With 1200 members which include over 20 Trade and Industry Associations and leading Chambers of Commerce globally, OEKM is growing to serve and serving to grow.

In its efforts to promote economic growth of the Country and the Region, Kosovo Malaysia Chamber of Commerce has, over the years, initiated several focused and meaningful dialogues covering various micro and macroeconomic aspects of development.

OEKM aims at giving the whole policy making process a more holistic hue through intra and inter-industry discussions, industry-community parleys and industry government meetings. Thus, the Chamber constantly endeavors to render effective services to its members.

OEKM has expert committees which devote their attention and co-ordinate activities in their areas of expertise. These committees also plan and implement exclusive events in their select spheres.

OEKM also extends its expertise, experience and feedback at numerous platforms, committees, councils, commissions and other bodies to facilitate business processes.

OEKM has been actively promoting the object of furthering international business relations by hosting business meeting with visiting foreign delegations and sponsoring business delegations to all the corners of the globe. Apart from the above, OEKM receives various delegations from abroad which encourage bilateral trade and economic co-operation with each of the countries. OEKM maintains active links with over 20 leading Chambers of Commerce across the globe.

The OEKM EXIM Helpdesk at OEKM offers access to information relating to export-import, trade & commerce, industry and related topics. It is endowed with vast resources of books, periodicals and documents on subjects related to the business community.

OEKM is not oblivious of its social obligations. It has undertaken and implemented massive relief work projects for masses affected by natural calamities. Working closely with the Government of Kosovo and Government of Malaysia, OEKM has always aimed to provide support to the affected parties.

A forward-looking and expanding organization, the chamber proposes to innovate its activities further so as to meet the ever changing demands of the business environment.

OEKM is registered under the Registration Act, 04/ L57, Section 9. OEKM has adopted with effect from 26th June 2014 a new Constitution & Regulations, which also is the Memorandum of the Articles.

Major Initiatives have been taken by OEKM recently, which are as below:

1. OEKM has set up three Helpdesks at its premises, namely, OEKM Exim Helpdesk, where experts provide free-of-cost guidance and support to the visitors-both members and non-members.

2. OEKM has established a state-of-the-art Alternate Dispute Resolution Centre at its premises for conducting the process of Mediation, Conciliation and Arbitration at affordable costs. The dispute resolution process conducted as per specific rules and procedures by leading arbitrators.

3. OEKM is making efforts to exchange trade enquiries with foreign Chambers which have signed MOU, so that bilateral trade could be promoted.

MISSION

• To lead Kosovo's business community as its premier and apex advocacy organization to promote growth of business in Kosovo and Globally.

• To develop well researched policy positions that reflect and promote interests of our members.

• To influence Kosovo Government policy in a positive, visible, consistent and representative manner.

• To support national representative body like KIESA and Ministry of Trade for policy issues to influence Government.

• To assist to OEKM members through consultation, access to information, value-added programs like conferences, seminars, open-house, workshops, help-desks and such support services.

• To encourage business delegations from and to all countries of the world to encourage growth of business and new technologies in Kosovo and Balkan.
